I've been here lately, but I've been kept busy. This past weekend I got our new Morso stove, I'd spent a long time doing my research and sums ! but anyhow I got her home on Friday, spent the rest of the day measuring up the various bends and pipes and got her fitted on saturday...
I couldn't wait much after that and lit her up to see her burn some of my nicely seasoned beech ...
here's a little video of it burning ...

Few more pics ...
I must say my logsplitter is working a dream, the wide wedge works great with the likes of thorn that tends to be a bit stringy, it is forced open to the point of splitting.
I would hate to have to go back to swinging a maul ... if you're having any problem making up your mind ... stop right now and get yourself a logsplitter ;-)
Cheers

Nearing completion! ...
I got my logsplitter home this weekend, and imediately put her to work, well a good test run ;-)
She is better than I could have hoped for ... Here are a few more pics ... when I have all my firewood split for the coming winter (2010) I will strip her back down and get her painted, but for now I'm over the moon
Cheers

Slowly getting there ...
Well the title says it all ... the engine, pump and hydraulic tank are now in place. Its starting to look like a log splitter ;-)
Later to day I'll be sorting out the hydraulic hoses ... and she will be getting her first road test. There's still some work to do yet before I really get to put her to work.
